The book is the real screen your staff work from: every reservation, every sitting, every table on the floor, the covers counted as they arrive. This is Mesa Verde on a live Saturday.
Booking
A guest books a table for four from your website at half past eleven at night, while the kitchen is long closed.
The book
It lands on the floor plan for the right sitting. No double-booking, no paper diary, no message you have to remember to write down.
Reminder
The day before, the confirm-or-cancel reminder goes out. They confirm, or the table releases and goes back on sale.
Service
They arrive, you seat them, and the cover is counted. A late table for two rings through while the first sitting is still eating.
After
The covers you served are already in Finance, and the guest is on record for the next time they book.
Table bookings feed the same P&L as everything else. The covers you served tonight are revenue in Finance by the morning, and you did not type them.
